In May, 1,168 million cattle head were sent to slaughter, down 1% from April and from May 2019.

If adjusted for business days, the comparison respect April, marked a monthly rise by 9%, and 14% year-on-year.

This is a big change in movement in relation to the steady increasing trend that has been dragging on in recent months. The data is comparable with those of last June (+12%), November (+15%), and February (+11%), which were surrounded by months that averaged increases of 2%.
