Summer Production Survey

We distributed our summer survey yesterday, a post-planting survey to gain additional insight into the 2020 crop.  This survey follows our spring survey, assessing planting intentions in April.

These survey results will be augmented with Farm Service Agency (FSA) acreage numbers that producers are required report in 2020.  The hemp industry lacks data that is boilerplate for other agricultural crops, there is not much available from USDA.  States take varying approaches to reporting, but most do not publish data for stakeholders.  Our survey data, combined with comprehensive supply and demand balance sheets, are the foundation for our forecasting.  The July forecast will be released tomorrow.
