The reporting of acreage to Farm Service Agency (FSA) is something we have commented on a number of times recently. The original deadline has passed for reporting but was extended due to the pandemic. That August 15 deadline has also passed, but producers can report their acreage until September 15 and may or may not be assessed a late fee in light of current circumstances. Acreage reporting is used for a range of USDA programs, and is especially critical for the Federal Crop Insurance Program.
