What Impact Will Fires Have on Crop?

We’ve discussed the western wildfires a number of times in recent weeks, yesterday within the context of research.  Oregon State University (OSU) will be looking into the literal fallout from wildfires and smoke.  A big question on hemp market participants minds right now is what impact – if any – recent events will have on wholesale hemp prices, specifically wholesale CBD prices?  Multiple hurricanes, drought, an early snow, and heavy disease pressure in wetter parts of the US will all have some impact on supply, whether macro, or limited to some local markets. 

If it were simply destruction from fire, that would be one thing, or from the relentless winds that fed fires and flayed top heavy, late-season hemp plants.
