with research focusing on hemp utilization in animal feeds.  Much of our commentary on hemp in animal feeds has been related to hempseed, and the potential for hempseed meal as an approved animal feed ingredient to round out the hempseed complex, including hempseed, hempseed oil, and hempseed meal. Research with hempseed products is ongoing at other land grant institutions with poultry and sheep, but KSU’s research is unique in scope.  The school received a $200,000 grant from USDA to carry out research on feeding hemp to cattle.
