The overall market continues mostly steady, with prices in line or slightly higher to last week’s ranges. Packer steers continue to move upwards, with Branded Steers quoted at $25 and Colorado Branded Steers trading at $24. Dairy Cows and Branded Cows remain steady at last week’s levels.

Outstanding Export Sales
Tables 1 and 2 below show the total outstanding cured hide and wet blue export sales by selected countries through October 1. Through Week 40, the total outstanding sales are 4.630 million from 4.875 million the prior week. With the same period average weekly slaughter at 604,421 head, the cumulative outstanding sales represent 7.66 weeks of production from 8.09 the previous week.
