Group Urges Policy Action from POTUS

In past commentary we’ve discussed the challenge for hemp organizations to adapt to a new policy landscape, and shift gears into advocacy work that reflects the new status of hemp.  This is occurring in real time, in response to the rapidly changing regulatory environment for hemp.  FDA is nearing the end of their rulemaking process that should yield enforcement guidance, as discussed in yesterday’s commentary.  The FDA’s process an example of a potentially radical change on the horizon, but the DEA’s IFR represents the most recent shift.  Actually, the extension of the 2014 Pilot Program authority to select states – favoring the cool kids at the back of the bus – is the most recent jolt to system.  All of these have the potential impact hemp pricing.  A coalition of organizations have joined…
