The US hide market concludes the week with a raise in prices for light packer Heavy Native Steers at $34, Butt Branded Steers at $34 and Northern Native Cows at $14. There are more indications of resistance to higher prices from buyers, in particular from customers in China, but demand from the auto sector remains strong. As fall hides are decreasing in supply, many seem to be willing to pay the current prices before the winter weight hides become the only material available.
