Broiler Slaughter Projected Lower, Turkey Higher

Ruminant MBM traded higher into the AL/GA and Eastern markets today as well as out of the Dal/Hou, California and PNW markets. Demand remains strong driven by the continued strength in soybean meal. Feather meal was higher out of the Delmarva market as well as the Mid South. 

Broiler slaughter is forecast to trend lower over the next five weeks before a big drop during the week of the Thanksgiving holiday. Slaughter over the next six weeks is forecast down 3 percent from the prior six week average and 1.2 percent from 2019 levels.
