August Renewable Diesel Imports Climb while Biodiesel Falls

 

** Notice** The Jacobsen will discontinue reporting various price points beginning December 1, 2020. Regional biodiesel reporting as well as The Jacobsen B100 Index will be removed in favor of additional biodiesel and renewable diesel price points. Renewable Diesel (cents/gal) California LA will be eliminated along with Biodiesel LA CA dlvd ($/MT). International reporting will be adjusted to better reflect both the Renewable Diesel and Biodiesel Market.

 

Renewable Diesel Imports Poised to Reach All-Time High in 2020- EIA

According to the Energy Information Agency (EIA), the United States imported 28.1 million gallons of biomass-based diesel (D4) during August. Imports of D4 were up one percent from July and 17 percent above the volume imported during August of 2019. D4 imports have reached 297.7 million gallons in 2020 and are running 9.1 percent over the 2019 import pace through August.  Renewable…
