DDGS and Ethanol Production
Ethanol production increased 20,000 barrels per day to a 961 million-barrel-per-day average during the week ending October 30, 2020. Ethanol and DDGS volumes reached a post-pandemic high in output, recording levels not seen since the week the pandemic was announced. Ethanol production was 2.1 percent over last week’s report but 5.2 percent below levels at this time last year. DDGS output increased by 1,902 metric tons per day but was 5,041 MT below daily production a year ago.
Gasoline supply declined 2.5 percent and was 8.9 percent below 2019 levels for the same period. Ethanol stocks increased to 19.7 million barrels, lifting from their lowest level since December 30, 2016.
