Ruminant MBM prices moved higher into the AL/GA and Eastern markets today. Pure beef 50 pro packer material is trading as high as $385 delivered into the Eastern market. Tight protein supplies in the region are contributing to the higher prices, but the wide spread between the average Midwestern values and the prices delivered into the East adds risk for lower prices after the holiday break.
