This is likely the last active week of the year with the next two very short. Slaughter is composed of few steers and heavy cows, which are in very good demand. The slaughter has been more light animals that which have less desirable hides at the moment.

Good quality Buenos Aires wet salted heavy steers continue unchanged from last week’s price of US$0.24 per kg.

Demand is moderate, being the last full week of the year. It’s reasonable to expect lower prices for the next 2 to 3 weeks due to lower demand.
