DDGS Output Edges Higher as Ethanol Margins Improve

 

DDGS Production Moves Fractionally Higher During Last Week of 2020

Ethanol production increased 1,000 barrels per day to a 935 million-barrel-per-day average during the week ending December 31, 2020.  DDGS and Ethanol volumes continue to oscillate with production near peak post pandemic levels. Weekly output increased fractionally but was 12 percent below levels seen at this time last year. DDGS output increased by 95 metric tons per day but was 12,079 MT per day below production from a year ago. 

Gasoline supply shifted sharply lower, falling 8.5 percent and was 8.5 percent below 2019 levels for the same period. Ethanol stocks declined fractionally to 23.3 million barrels.  This was the first time in 10 weeks ethanol stocks moved lower.
