Feather Meal Bull Market Continues

Feather meal prices moved higher again this week, topping out at $525 FOB Mid-South. Prices have doubled since the week ending July 10th, moving from $247 FOB to $525 yesterday. Soybean meal values combined with tight supplies in the fourth quarter to accelerate the rate of increase in the market. With soybean meal values trending higher after yesterday’s bullish WASDE report, it’s reasonable to expect further gains in the near term. Demand remains strong for both the domestic and export markets and seasonal, fertilizer demand is expected add to the upward momentum.
