Steer Hide Prices Rise, Cow Hide Prices Track Steady

Steer hide prices rose today, with prices increasing anywhere between $2.50 and $4 from yesterday. Despite the slowdown due to the limited supply of microchips, automotive upholstery demand continues to be firm with prices steady to last Thursday’s levels for Butt Branded Steers. Container availability issues in Asia have not slowed cow hide demand for furniture upholstery , with trading continuing at steady prices.
