There will be no publication of the North American Hide Bulletin/Price Guide on Monday, February 15 as the offices of The Jacobsen will be closed in observance of the U.S. National Presidents’ Day holiday.

We also want to wish Happy Chinese Lunar New Year to our US Hide Bulletin readers.

The US hide market concludes the sluggish week with a mixed bag of reports. Steers, with the exception of Heavy Native Steers, continue trading under downward pressure and are at risk of more depressed prices. Cows prices are firm, with a number of higher reports on selections used for upholstery tanning and footwear. Next week, many customers will be continuing their Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations, so trading is expected to be quiet.
