Ethanol & DDGS – DDGS Supply Bounces Back From Cold-Snap Lows
Ethanol production reclaimed 75 percent of last week’s weather-related decline. DDGS and ethanol output increased 191,000 barrels per day to an 849 thousand-barrel-per-day average during the week ending February 26, 2021. DDGS and Ethanol volumes improved as the Midwest and South Central thawed. Weekly ethanol output was 29 percent above the week prior but 21 percent below levels seen at this time last year. DDGS output increased 18,166 MT per day from last week but was 21,875 MT’s per day below production from a year ago.
