Good quality Buenos Aires wet salted steers remain quoting upwards from last week, now at about US$0.55~0.60 per kg.

Demand continues unchanged.

The USDA projects a fall of 6% in Argentine beef exports for this year.

In a recently published report, the USDA forecasted shipments for 850 thousand TEC, 55 thousand TEC less than in 2020. The reduction is based on a lower slaughter due to the difficulties in the feedlots.

February slaughter was reported at 1.04 million head, up 2 percent from January and also up 4 percent on YoY comparison.
