Korean Demand Triggers Huge Jump in Steer & Heifer Prices

Steer and heifer prices have skyrocketed on very strong demand from Korea. For a number of sellers, customers in Korea hadn’t been very active until yesterday, when many bought at asking price of US sellers’ offer lists. This week there interest from Chinese tanneries declined, but those that did show interest were willing to pay higher. Concern over continued price increases has pushed the buyers into the market with a greater sense of urgency.
