The Biden Administration is rolling out a $2 trillion infrastructure plan, the likes of which have bever been seen. The only historical parallel is the New Deal, hence the Green New Deal moniker, an approach that is either a no-brainer, or a slur, depending on your politics. Democrats more or less hold the Senate, putting them in the catbird seat insofar as producing legislation to address climate change. Interweaving it among a $2 trillion infrastructure bill is smart politics but will not make the political battle any less bloody.
In the same way that climate change is being addressed as part of an infrastructure initiative, hemp may also have a role in the campaign against CO2. If lifecycle analysis of various industrial hemp applications is favorable, hemp could benefit from the sweeping changes that we’ll witness if Democrats rally around this program.
