Organic Grains From Argentina are Poised to Arrive in North Carolina

 

Organic corn and soybean are likely to arrive in the U.S. as the Amelie is expected to dock in Morehead City, NC, today. The ship originated in Argentina and is carrying soybeans and sunflowers. The bulk vessel is carrying 30K metric tons of soybeans and sunflowers. Since most of the soybeans that come from Argentina are organic, The Jacobsen assumes that part of this cargo is organic soybeans. This volume is likely spoken for. As a reference point, approximately 34K metric tons of organic soybeans were imported into the U.S. in 2020. About 13K of organic soybeans were imported into the United States from Argentina

Organic turkey slaughter by weight continues to move higher. In the latest week, the Federal Inspections Department report that organic turkey slaughter by weight increased to 2.6-million pounds in 2021, and the highest since early December 2020….
