LCFS Weekly Credit Transfer Activity – Transactions Reach Eight-Week Low

LCFS credit volume continued to slow during the week ending August 8th.  Weekly volume of 148,959 was 59 percent below the prior week and 68 percent uder the 2021 weekly average of 459,495.  Third quarter volume is 56 percent below second quarter volume and 9 percent below Q3 of 2020. There were 17 transactions during the week, down from 24 the week before. The weighted average price paid per credit fell $0.95 to $184.99. Of the 17 transactions posted, Type 1 transfers totaled 98,359 credits and Type 2 transfers were for 50,000 credits. Type 1 transfers accounted for 71 percent of the transactions and 66 percent of the volume.
