Organic Cracked Corn Imports Rise in September

Organic cracked corn imports continued to arrive in September. Bill of ladings data analyzed by Fastmarkets/The Jacobsen shows that imports of organic cracked corn increased by 72% month over month to 13.1K metric tons. As a frame of reference, there was no organic cracked corn delivered into the U.S. in September of 2020. All organic cracked corn imported into the United States arrived on the East Coast in Morehead City, North Carolina.

The origin of the organic cracked corn was Giresun Turkey. The shipments all came in bulk on the Global Aglaia. Organic cracked corn imports increased 10% year over year for the 2020/2021 marketing year. During the 2021 calendar year, organic cracked corn imports arrived in Morehead City, Willmington, DE, and Stockton, CA. The majority of the organic cracked corn that arrived in the U.S. during 2021 so far has come into the East Coast of the United States.
