Over the course of the next several years, cannabinoid hemp markets, or cannabinoid markets altogether, will be defined by policy and research.  West Coast legislation like Oregon’s HB3000 and California’s AB45 will inevitably shape national markets.  New York is also a key player in the cannabis policy sandbox, but California is years ahead of the Empire State, and hosts a massive adult use market. 

Do hempseed or fiber have a future in states like California, states where farmers have almost exclusively focused on cannabinoids?  Demand sectors will play a major role here, and with fiber hemp, a widely dispersed model is a good fit for bulky goods.   California is the largest US producer of Pima cotton, generating several billion dollars annually.
