Biofuel Groups Say RFS Delay Will Cause More Uncertainty

Latest RFS Compliance Delay Means More Uncertainty for Markets

The U.S. EPA’s proposed extension of compliance deadlines for biofuel blending mandates will only create additional uncertainty and volatility for the markets, various industry organizations said. On Thursday, EPA said it will propose an extension for 2020 and 2021 compliance reporting deadlines and will also suggest changing the annual reporting deadline for 2022 and thereafter for all obligated parties. Earlier this year, the EPA extended the 2019 compliance reporting deadline.
