Hide trading picked up today despite ongoing shipping disruptions. For several sellers, bids for steer hides came up to steady prices with the last traded levels. Most of sellers accepted the bids with others indicating their plants to execute the trades this evening. Demand from the furniture upholstery tanners is firm. Sellers reported decent interest from Italian hide buyers for handbag and footwear, but limited interest from automotive.
