Throughout the pandemic, we have commented on the opportunity that the global disruption has presented to emerging industries – including hemp.  Policy provides the most meaningful opportunity for hemp in the US, but the pandemic has influenced policy considerably over the past two years, making the pandemic the most influential policy event in our lifetimes to date.  

Climate change policy is the other catalyst that will accelerate industry adoption of hemp.  Not based on data in many cases, but on perception.  That same perception has driven other industries, like organics, which at its best, will play some role in decarbonization. At its worst, organic production is merely energy intensive window dressing.
