Trade Steady to Higher, Logistics Remain an Issue

Trade Steady to Higher, Logistics Remain an Issue

Packers sold a good volume of hides this week at steady to current market levels to $0.50 to $1 higher. Branded heifers sold $1 higher and specialized cow selections that are not reported on The Jacobsen Price Guide were sold $0.50 higher than the last traded levels.

Other sellers received a good volume of bids this week and sold close to steady price levels to current market.

Labor and shipping problems remain an issue for sellers. Retention at plants has been difficult to keep and some sellers have seen the availability of 20ft containers tighten up.
