New York Steps Up Enforcement of Unlicensed Cannabis Stores

New York State Governor Kathy Hochul announced last week the result of enforcement actions against unlicensed cannabis businesses.  Cannabis enforcement has changed drastically in a short period of time.  “Storefront” was not a word associated with cannabis enforcement historically.

the New York State Office of Cannabis Management (NY OCM) had seized 1000 lbs of illicit MJ.  The newly formed agency partnered with the Department of Taxation and Finance, the other key agency empowered to enforce updated cannabis laws.
