Sellers reported hide trading was up $1 on steer hides compared to last week and a similar volume of business had been concluded. Bidding activity was lower this week than last due to Chinese Yuan devaluation to the U.S. dollar and downward pressure on leather prices for the furniture upholstery and footwear sectors of the leather industry.
