Hemp Operators Face Risk Here and Abroad

The challenges hemp producers face in the US is not unique to them. Cannabinoid operators are especially at the mercy of frequent policy changes and operate with considerable risk. 

Hemp-derived cannabinoid operators have enjoyed far more latitude in the U.S. because of rapidly changing sentiments around cannabis, which in part, is tied to the rapid increase of people deriving their income from cannabis. 

Federal hemp legislation forced states to rapidly adapt state laws, but that process is ongoing, as lawmakers tackle emerging issues like intoxicating hemp-derived cannabinoids. Practically speaking, states are the arbiters.
