Extreme to exceptional drought persists in Central Kansas and Missouri, some of which hosts industrial hemp production. Dryland hemp in these areas will not make a crop this year but irrigated crops will. Eastern Nebraska is also parched, but we’re unaware of any significant hemp plantings in this area.

One key planting of fiber hemp in Missouri is situated in the extreme southeastern part of the state where only moderate to severe drought is entrenched. Showers can be widely scattered this time of year; one can only hope to be the lucky farm on any given day.
