The emerging hemp fiber segment in the U.S. has significant obstacles impeding its development.  Fiber – such as twine or rope – is among the first images that spring to mind when the topic of hemp is introduced, but this is not the reality of the modern U.S. hemp industry.  This has been the source of widespread disillusionment in state legislatures, where intoxicating cannabinoids have been viewed as a public health threat, to children, in particular.
