DEA Takes Controversial Position on Cannabinoids

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency has had an ancillary role in the newly legal hemp industry.  Hemp and marijuana are technically separated by a tiny margin.  Below 0.3% hemp, everything above, marijuana.  Nothing has been this simple in the rolling out of a nationwide hemp industry, but the chaos existed in agencies also, like the DEA and USDA, who uniquely collided on an issue that was unfamiliar territory for both. The USDA administrates the National Hemp Program.
