In Argentina, the decrease in slaughter continues and prices rose 5-10 Argentine pesos to a steady dollar. This represents an approximate rise of 1 to 2 cents.
Therefore, we can say that today, good quality Buenos Aires wet salted heavy steer prices are quoting upwards at about US$0.54 per kg.
Demand remains low.
The fair in Shanghai showed firm demand for shoes and upholstery business for Easterners, but minimal for Westerners.
Automotive leather demand is slow, with little volume.

Argentina exported around 93 thousand beef tons of carcass equivalent (tec) in July. This was just below May but 27 percent higher in relation to June (73 thousand tec).
Slaughter fell sharply this week causing prices to rise.
