This coincided with the emergence of delta-8 THC, and later THCa, which was sprayed on hemp flower to impart psychoactive effects. The market routinely saw thousands of pounds of this product transact, bound for CBD smoke shops in states like Tennessee, Texas, and North Carolina. Many consumers – and retail workers had no idea what the product was, or how it was manufactured.
