Hempseed Feed Approvals Stall

Efforts to gain approvals for hempseed derivatives for a wide range of livestock and poultry species are progressing very slowly.  The onerous requirements required by the FDA and the American Association for Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) are criticized, in part, because hempseed is deemed safe for humans under the FDA’s GRAS (generally recognized as safe) designation.
