Sellers Accept Lower Bids on Branded Steers

Some sellers reported interest from footwear tanners today but at lower bid levels. With negotiations ongoing since mid-last week, sellers settled with lower prices for branded steers (down $0.50). Downward pressure on Colorado branded steers, butt branded steers, and heavy Texas steers continues.
Sellers aim to conclude large volume of business this week, ahead of Golden Week in China. The holiday will impact business operations in China, Japan, and Korea from October 1st to the 7th.
