U.S. Soybean Oil Exports Slump on Week

U.S. soybean oil exports for the 2022/23 marketing year were down eight percent on the week and 30 percent from the four-week average to 1,000 tonnes (MT) during the week ending September 21. The USDA’s Weekly Export Report released on Thursday showed the largest soybean oil buyers were Canada (900 MT) and Mexico (100 MT).

U.S. net soybean oil sales of 4,700 MT for 2022/2023 were up noticeably from the previous week, but down sharply from the four-week average. Increases for Canada (4,800 MT) were offset by reductions to Honduras (100 MT). Total net soybean oil sales of 100 MT for the 2023/2024 marketing year were for Honduras.
