Trading in the protein market was very quiet today. The only big change in the market was porcine meat and bone meal, which was lower out of the Eastern market.

The USDA FAS released estimates for September showing an increase in inedible meat meal exports from August and from last September. Exports were up 24.4 percent from August and up 32.1 percent from September 2022. Meat meal exports were spread across 13 markets with China being the largest importer by volume at 23,430 mt. Mexico followed with 22,837 mt, and Indonesia was the third largest at 17,129 mt.
