Hemp Production Trends

Hemp Production Trends

Hemp production trends are mixed, with a steady decrease in hempseed production for grain and an increase in acreage intended for fiber.  Fiber hemp acreage increased by 63 percent from 2022 to 2023 but did not surpass production figures posted in 2021.

Hempseed grain production saw a less precipitous year over year decline than last year.  Hempseed production declined by 21 percent in 2023.
