Hide Buyers Relatively Inactive in Early Half of Week

Trading was active on Tuesday for US packers with a good volume of steer material trading steady with the last reported levels. Some sellers have received limited interest early this week and are concerned about demand coming the second half of the week. These sellers reported limited trading last week due to a lack of demand as well as lower than expected bid levels.
Sellers are hopeful for an increase in demand from North American auto tanners and shoe tanners in the coming weeks. Interest from these sectors remains weak and continues to drag down prices.
