October Truck Sales Track Above 2016 – 2019 Monthly Average Levels

Trading was steady midweek and more volume is expected to be traded in the second half of the week. Additional seller offers were released last night which brought interest from various countries including Korea. Korean tanners have been relatively quiet over the past few weeks.
Split prices have stabilized this week for US steers, averaging around 5000 RMB per metric ton, after a few weeks of dropping prices.
The United Auto Workers (UAW) strike continues as several workers hold their stance in opposition of the deals made by the Big 3 automakers. Voting on the contract is ongoing, but there has been a considerable amount of disapproval from UAW members.
