Buying Activity in US Hide Market Slow Midweek

Midweek activity in the US hide market was slow while sellers field bids after releasing offers last night. Buyers are in demand for cow hides, premium dairy steers and a few big packer steer hides. There is moderate demand from buyers in China, Korea, Mexico and Taiwan. The buying interest is for material to be delivered before Chinese Lunar New Year.
More business is expected to be concluded in the second half of the week.
