Wheat Export Inspections Rise as Corn and Soybeans Plunge

CME grain prices were mixed on Tuesday. March wheat increased by $0.16, closing at $6.25/bu while January soybeans dropped by $0.1225, settling at $13.23/bu. In addition, January soymeal dropped by $2.90 to $410.30/st, but March corn rose by $0.0375 to $4.85/bu. Rising concerns over Brazil’s growing conditions have caused an increase in corn prices, while the recent disruption of soybean planting caused a double-digit decline in soybean prices. However, China’s growing demand for U.S. wheat exports has been a major factor for wheat gains.
