Strong Distiller’s Corn Oil Production Continues

Strong Distiller’s Corn Oil Production Continues

It was a mostly quiet day, but there was a flurry of late afternoon activity. Four cars of packer grade bleachable fancy tallow (BFT) traded down to 44 cts/lb Chicago this afternoon and four cars of choice white grease traded at 39 cts/lb Chicago. There was a good volume of CWG traded at 34 cts/lb FOB River today and trading done as low as 33 cts/lb FOB just outside of the Mo. River region. CWG prices into the Gulf were indicated at 42.5 cts/lb delivered.
Gulf used cooking oil (UCO) was done at 41 and 41.5 cts/lb today, there were indications in after the close of trading done at 42.5 cts/lb as well. Yellow grease trading was done lower out of the Midwestern markets and into the Gulf. Sellers continue to struggle with pockets of heavy, nearby supply due to weak demand from some biodiesel and renewable diesel producers as well as cuts in demand from the feed sector.
