The Argentine market remains unsteady with the new President’s implemented economic measures and plans. Inflation has skyrocketed along with cattle prices.
Prices increased from last week by 30 Arg. pesos with a fixed official dollar, which indicates an increase of 4 cents per kg.
On November 30th, good quality Buenos Aires wet salted heavy steers were trading around US$0.64 per kg.
The hide and leather business in Argentina isn’t profitable in current times. Meatpackers, tanners, and salted hide exporters continue to struggle with their profit margins.
The international market is under price pressure while demand declines.

The market is unclear while regulations are not set in place yet by the newly elected government.
