Hemp flower markets have been the key driver of demand since the early days of hemp legalization in the U.S.  Savvy growers with the skill to produce top-shelf flower established a solid customer base for wholesaling high CBD, and later, CBG flower.

The next phase of hemp flower markets, besides some key policy moves in state’s that effectively banned production or sales, was the emergence of delta-8 THC infused hemp flower.  The market saw large quantities of delta-8 THC move, some of which was sold as marijuana on the black market by unsuspecting buyers.  Much of it was highly suspect, because of the range of expertise in isomerizing CBD into delta-8 THC.
