There will be no publication of the North American Hide Bulletin/Price Guide on Monday, February 19 in in observance of the US Presidents’ Day holiday.

Market Update 

The US hide market closed the week with several trade reports despite the holiday week, which typically slows trading. Plant workers are expected to return to tanneries in China this Sunday, following the Lunar New Year holiday celebrations.
Buyers remained active in the hide market buying regular weight steer hides today. Heavy Native Steer (HNS), Branded Steer and Colorado Branded Steer hides traded $1.50/piece up from last traded levels, down $0.50/piece and up $0.75/piece, respectively. Also, jumbo weighted HNS traded $1.50/piece up from yesterday’s price levels.
